About Us

Building a better world by shaping better minds, Impera exists to address urgent and complex societal problems through philosophy.

In 2023, Edoardo Chen and Nino de Vries founded Impera, driven by their profound conviction in the transformative potential of philosophy to influence both individual cognition and collective conduct.

Impera’s overarching mission is to challenge the prevailing notion that philosophy’s purpose remains confined to niche debates within academic circles. In academia philosophy is often brandished as the “mother of all science” – we aim to position philosophy as the foundation of business. In pursuit of this goal, the company endeavours to bridge the gap between philosophical insights and practical applications, facilitating a closer alignment between philosophers, corporate entities, and governmental bodies.
